Dear Members of the R.R.V.A.
IMPORTANT CORRESPONDENCE – Regarding your security providers
As you are all aware, the Directors of the RRVA have been mandated to make decisions which affect our suburb.
Our Residents Association is involved in many projects which make this part of Randpark Ridge a better place to live (see website www.rrva.net for details of current projects).
One of the biggest portfolios involves the on-going security of our area. Following the collapse of the original Police Vehicle Scheme, it was decided, after extensive research by a sub-committee, to enter into a contract with a private security provider, DCS/Bestsecure, to patrol our area and to carry a cell phone dedicated to the usage by the members of the RRVA.
There were a number of contractual clauses, which the committee has, on your behalf, had the job of monitoring to ensure that we are receiving the best possible service. We have been monitoring this level of service, and it has come to the point where the relationship between ourselves and the current service provider has broken down to such an extent that your RRVA management has decided that our contract with BestSecure must be terminated at the end of September 2015.
Further, it has been decided that Community Support Services, (who has been providing pro-active services in the area for the last 5 years), will be contracted from 1 October 2015 to also be our patrol provider and will carry our cell phone so that the residents are provided with an uninterrupted service.
Members who currently have their alarms monitored by BestSecure are entitled to remain with them, as BestSecure will still have a vehicle in the area. However they may increase your fees – for alarm monitoring and now the patrol/reaction costs.
Alternatively Community Support Services can provide an alarm monitoring service for a monthly cost of R228.00 including V.A.T. (no annual ICASA fees will be applicable). There will be no cost to you to switch your service should you wish to take advantage of this. As has always been the case, the fee for armed patrol/assistance is covered by your RRVA subscription. This would bring our new provider in line with the total of what you are currently paying.
NB Should you wish to switch your service to our new provider for alarm monitoring, you will be required to give a calendar month’s notice in writing to your current provider.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further information or assistance.
