The RRVA has organised and participated in community clean up initiatives to remove accumulated rubbish from problem areas.
The RRVA has worked with EC Security on a clean up operation along the walkway between Rabie Street and Essenhout Drive. The initiative removed litter and helped improve the appearance and safety of the area.
Community clean ups have also targeted areas affected by dumped waste around Randpark Drive and Beyers Naudé Drive.
The Randpark Ridge Village Association is constantly removing rubbish from illegal dumpsites and by doing so we are keeping the area looking spick and span, which makes our neighborhood a stunning place to live. The bonus is the less illegal dumping that occurs the more your property is worth, no potential buyer will pay a premium price for a house next to a messy dump site.
Security and Cameras
The RRVA also works with security partners and has invested in community security infrastructure, including cameras. Surveillance has previously helped capture illegal dumping activity and can make potential dumpers think twice. After all, nobody wants their next rubbish run to come with a starring role in the neighbourhood’s security footage.

The RRVA has also installed no-dumping signs in problem areas.

The RRVA can’t fight illegal dumping alone. Keeping Randpark Ridge clean requires residents to play their part too.
