Why You Should Join The RRVA
The benefits of living in a community serviced by a well run residents association are numerous including higher home resale values, lower crime, clean safe roads and parks as well as an atmosphere of care and consideration. Furthermore, your donation to a residents association is tax deductible.
Joining your Residents association is a great way to expand your social network and get to know your neighbours. A neighbourhood with a tight knit community creates a safer and more pleasant environment to live in, raise your children, and run a business, as everyone has each other’s back.
To see the true value of a residents association, one need look no further than some of our neighbouring suburbs that have no functioning residents associations. These include parts of Roodepoort and Alberton. In these areas we see piles of illegally dumped rubble, thick layers of litter, broken and abandoned infrastructure. The dilapidated state of these neighbourhoods and the higher crime levels reduce the value of your property, which can make your house difficult to sell. For these reasons the RRVA requires as much support as we can get. Contribute now to ensure a better run, more prosperous and safe neighbourhood.

EC Security offers RRVA members a discount on their private security package, including armed response. The cost for members is R322.59 ( R456.55 for non members ) Check out the EC website to see the many services offered …

Community Security Initiatives
In order to keep our community safe, the RRVA works closely with Honeydew SAPS, Honeydew CPF – Sector 1, Ward Councillors for wards 98 and 134, EC Security, Beagle Watch and SB Securiy. This makes Randpark Ridge an extremely safe area to live in.

Neighbourhood Upkeep
Your financial support funds the maintenance of our parks, greenbelt, dam and other public areas. Without the efforts of the RRVA, these areas would be neglected and overgrown and pose a security risk to the community. We install owl boxes and bat hotels.

Community Care
We have volunteer trauma debriefers ready to reach out to members who have experienced a traumatic or life changing experience such as crime or the death of a loved one. We offer emotional and practical support to our members.

Tax Benefit
As the RRVA is a registered NPC, your contributions are eligible for a Section 18A tax certificate. This means that you can claim all of your contributions back as a deduction against your income tax on your tax return.
Community Policing Forum

As part of your RRVA membership benefits, residents are connected to the Community Policing Forum (CPF), affiliated with the Honeydew Community Policing Forum Sector 1. The CPF is a partnership between the community and the South African Police Service (SAPS), promoting communication and collaboration to enhance safety, security, and service delivery. CPF members are dedicated volunteers who work to reduce the fear of crime, improve police accountability, and strengthen community involvement. Through initiatives like Community in Blue patrols and neighbourhood watches, trained patrollers act as the “eyes and ears” of the police, increasing visibility and proactive crime prevention. RRVA encourages more residents to get involved and help build a safer, stronger Randpark Ridge community.
