The RRVA is striving to ensure that all who live in the RRVA area contribute to the association and help us to maintain YOUR neighborhood.

RRVA member benefits

  1. Security – Armed Proactive Patrols in the area. 24/7 Security patrols. RRVA contracts EC Security to patrol our suburb 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week, to be proactive in the area and help prevent crime. As an RRVA member you have direct access to the dedicated cell phone number for this vehicle in the case of an emergency, if you feel unsafe, or if you would like an escort to your door. Please contact the RRVA for this dedicated cell phone number. Please note that there is a call out fee, if used by a non-member.
  2. Environmental and Parks. Together with City Parks, the RRVA maintains the greenbelt of Hymany Dam / Park and Essenhoud Park. Additional services include maintenance like
    1. Painting and maintaining area fences and electricity boxes
    2. Maintaining curbside road names 
    3. Reporting and following up municipal faults
    4. General trash pick up 
    5. Keeping the RRVA neighborhood clean and presentable

Summary of Products & Services for RRVA members:

  1. The RRVA membership at R330.00 per month, R240.00 per month for pensioners (PBO – Tax deductible)
  2. Armed Response –   in the form of a dedicated 24/7 cell phone contact number to access the EC Security patrol vehicle
  3. Crime & Incident Scene Management
  4. Pro-active Patrols – Crime Control & Visibility
  5. Investigation & Profiling of Crime in your Area
  6. Area Utility Management (Monitoring & Reporting)
  7. Monitoring & Control of Vagrants
  8. Reporting & Statistics
  9. E-mail Security Tips & Warnings to the community
  10. Crime/Incident facilitation guide
  11. Maintenance of our Parks and environment (done by RRVA staff)
  12. Static security (all RRVA fences)

All of the above requires ongoing expenses and maintenance which comes out of the RRVA membership contributions. RRVA is striving to ensure that all who live in the village contribute to the association and help us to maintain YOUR Village.
